Campus Ministry
Scorecard

The most comprehensive national snapshot to date—showing how campus ministry is forming faith, building community, and helping students stay connected when it matters most.

Across 145 campus ministries in 96 dioceses, the Fall 2025 data says something brave and deeply hopeful: faith is not fading on campus. It is forming. It is strengthening. It is chosen again and again by students learning to trust God and themselves.

That doesn’t happen by accident. That is the fruit of campus ministry.

Reaching First Changes Everything
Freshman Outreach

The transition into college is one of the most vulnerable moments in a young Catholic’s life. These numbers come specifically from graduating high school seniors who were connected to campus ministry partners through Newman Connection and the Faith Forward movement. Because they were reached by name and invited early, campus ministries were able to engage students before isolation had the last word.

Fall 2025 Freshman Outreach Highlights
From students, Newman Connection connected to campus ministries:

7,468 freshmen contacted (52 per ministry)

1,429 active freshmen
(10 per ministry)

19% engagement rate (nearly 1 in 5 become active)

This data reflects outreach to graduating seniors who entered college in Fall 2025 and were intentionally connected to campus ministry partners through Newman Connection,  from 145 campus ministries reporting across 96 dioceses.

Culture says faith fades in college. The scorecard shows something stronger: students are choosing Mass, Adoration, service, formation, and discernment—because campus ministry is reaching them early and walking with them.
